Santo Cristo is a group of growers led by a young team of professionals. They have 3 great advantages: 4 million Kg. of Garnacha grapes harvested every vintage (from where it is easy to find fantastic wines), the best location in the DO and a new cellar with the latest technology. Campo de Borja is one of the most interesting regions for young red wines in Spain. It is just southeast of Rioja, but in a much warmer and drier land, where the Garnacha grape yields less and has more concentration. As a result they obtain deep, fresh, intense red wines, half the way between the old and new worlds.
Sierra Collado [Formerly known as Cayus]
Selección Garnacha. From old vines of Garnacha planted in the highest vineyards of Campo de Borja we receive this powerful, vibrant red wine that reflects the spirit of modern Spain: passion with a touch of elegance. The time in oak (8 months in new French oak barrels) has developed the fruit and driven it into a rounded, warm, long wine, perfect to serve with any meats, cheese, exotic food. [vintage 2007]
Red Garnacha. Bright flavors of strawberries and melon; round on the palate and has a lovely spectrum of slightly sweet honey as opposed to dry. Perfect as an aperitif, with cold summer salads such as chicken or tuna salad.
