Campania
Like Calabria, Campania has a storied past at the center of Italian winemaking. The Romans and the Greeks both found this land outside the port of Napoli to be ideally suited for vinification. For a while, it seemed that this region’s influence might remain in the past tense, as winemakers drifted elsewhere and investment left the area. A recent resurgence in pride and technology balanced with a respect for the tradition and terrior of the area has sparked a real renaissance in Campanian wines.
