Urciuolo

The brothers Urciuolo (Pronounced Urcee-wolo) work their familial estate in the south of Italy in the shadow of the now dormant volcano of Mount Vulture.

Falanghina [2009]
Soft, lively taste due to its acidity but with an intense, delicate bouquet.

Aglianico [2008]
Aged in oak barrique for 12 months, has high tannins, chocolatey tarry flavors. Great wine for aging.

Fiano di Avellino [2009]
Straw yellow color and an intense bouquet with smoked notes and roasted hazelnuts. It is a soft, elegant wine. Enjoy with chicken and pork dishes and cheese.

Greco di Tufo [2009]
Dry, crisp and straw yellow in color. Aromas of berry and a unique mineral taste of ash is coupled with oregano and citrus peel. Great with salads and fish– ideal with Mediterranean dishes.

Taurasi [2004]
100% Aglianico grape, this is a round, harmonious wine with a distinct bouquet and tannins. Aged in oak barriques for 18 months, then aged in large oak casks for 12, further bottle refinement of 12 months. Great with stews, meats, sharp cheeses.
