Cennatoio-Alessi (organic)
The site of the Cennatoio estate is a historical site, well known by the Florentines. During the Medici reign it got its name by being a lookout, hence the name. Cennatoio means “place of sign.” It was a spot on the hill where the families of the prisoners, kept in a nearby prison, would go to exchange signals. The Alessi family, made up of Oleandro and his wife, Gabriella, and his son, Emiliano own and operate the estate, making their award winning wines with the careful supervision of esteemed winemaker, Gabriella Tani. The estate is now certified organic by ICEA.
