Guy Drew Vineyards is located in McElmo Canyon, Colorado. It was founded in 1998 by Guy Drew and his wife Ruth, after ending their corporate careers in Denver. What began as a Hay Farm in McElmo Canyon, then gradually transformed into one of today’s most acclaimed Col- orado Vineyards. Guy’s vineyards are located at approximately 5800 feet making these some of the highest vineyards in North America.

Although many have overlooked McElmo Canyon’s promise over the years, it continually proves to be one of the greatest places for wine in Colorado. The Guy Drew Vineyards grows its’ wine in Colorado’s scenic McElmo Canyon. Located next to the southwest arm of Montezu- ma Valley on the Colorado Plateau and west of the Rocky Mountains. This area was an an- cient Anasazi trade route and historical fruit-growing region in Colorado. Just south of the win- ery the Ute Reservation and legendary volcanic Sleeping Ute Mountain rises to nearly 10,000 feet. Check Siema office for current vintages

Unoaked Chardonnay

Bright and fruity with ripe lemon and banana aromas intermingled with pear, kiwi fruit, mango on the palate plus a whiff of honey. Lush and smooth texture; medium bodied. Amazing with white flesh seafood and salads.

Metate Blanc

Blend of 70% Dry Riesling, 30% Unoaked Chardonnay. Metate is the base stone used to grind maize by the ancestral Puebloan people of the southwest corner of Colorado. Aromatic and bright with notes of white peach, apricot and honeysuckle blossom with a round, lush texture. Versatile with foods from salads to Asian and other spicy dishes.

Pinot Gris

A slightly off-dry style of Pinot Gris with lively green apple, lemon citrus and Anjou pear notes with just around 1% residual sugar. A great foil to Asian and spicy fare or simply enjoyed solo on a hot summer’s day.

Merlot

Over the top bright cherry and strawberry fruit dominate this easy drinking Colorado Merlot, aged for 12 months in older French oak barrels. Hints of dark chocolate and toasted almond dance across the palate with a silky smooth vanilla spice accent on the finish; medium bodied. Great for burgers and barbecue.

Meritage Red

This blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 22% Petit Verdot was barrel aged in two and three year old French oak for twelve months, then four months in new French oak. Dark plum and black cherry notes plus sspresso, toasted almond and vanilla spice; full-bodied with a crimson velvet texture. Steak please!
