              About Castello di Lucignano

Sustainably Farmed

Castello di Lucignano is situated on a gentle hill in one of the most fascinating landscapes of the Chianti Classico region, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and forests, only 12 km from the medieval town of Siena. From the impressive Castle Complex the Estate manages its ambitious wine business and a high level restaurant. It has been dedicated to wine production for centuries. 16 hectares of the Estate's 52 are presently dedicated to grape production. The vineyards have predominantly been planted with the Sangiovese variety and its new clones. Another 3 hectares are olive groves for the production of Extra Vergine Olive Oil of the highest quality.
